Our staff are delighted to open their branch doors once again for families needing to arrange a funeral as well as those wanting to make enquiries about future events, explore prepayment options or access our free bereavement resources. Social distancing restrictions still apply: 2m distancing, face coverings and limits to single households where possible.
In Scotland, up to 50 people can now attend a funeral and in England, the limit remains capped at 30. However, the ability to provide social distancing requirements means smaller venues may actually accommodate fewer people.
Celebrations of life, memorials and tributes – especially those postponed from 2020 – can now be organised. Funeral service rooms, churches and other places of worship look forward to hosting families and commemorating lives lost over the last year. Wakes and other catered events are subject to regional rules relating to numbers and restrictions on hospitality, so it is best to speak to us in advance about specific plans.
We continue to offer live streaming where possible, video recordings of the funeral and digital presentation support to create tributes involving far flung family and friends. Personalising send-offs has never been more important whether that’s by way of a coffin choice, music on the day or a route passing places of significance.
As we’ve done for generations, we’re here to help 24/7 every day of the year.
